More so than ever, in the current climate, businesses are looking to save money and become more efficient. So, in this theme, our November newsletter has details of a Microsoft promotion with potential savings of £3,000 to £6,000, an article on virtual meetings, a great way to save time and money and a cost saving AVG promotion. Microsoft NAV Promotion - 3 users for £1
Microsoft are running a '3 users for £1' offer on the purchase of licences for new NAV customers. Depending whether you purchase the Business Essentials or Advanced Management (needed for warehousing or manufacturing) versions this represents a saving of £3,300 to £5,700. So if you've been thinking that you're outgrowing your current accounts software and require a more flexible and powerful solution this is an offer you really need to consider.

Sage New Releases for 2011
Sage has recently announced the release of new versions of Sage 50 Accounts, Sage ACT! and Sage Payroll.  All versions have new and improved features the best of which are detailed on our website. So click on the links above to find out more.

PC Magazine awarded Sage ACT! 2011 a 4.5 out of 5 star rating and Editor's Choice award. Click here to read the review. Whilst Sage Payroll recently won the best SME Payroll award at the 2010 Software Satisfaction Awards.

On another note all technical support for Sage Line 50 v10 ended on 30 September 2010.

Sage ACT! Seminar
We're having a free demonstration morning to allow our clients to have a look at the new release of Sage ACT!. 

Running from 10:00 to 12:00 on Wednesday 8 December you will get the chance to see a demonstration of how ACT! can save you time and money as well as the opportunity to view the excellent integrated email marketing function.

Sage Line 100 - End of Mainstream Support
Sage have announced that they will be ending mainstream support for Line 100 on 30 September 2012. You will still be able to use your software beyond that date however software updates related to Line 100 will be stopped, Sage will no longer guarantee that Line 100 will be legislatively compliant and they will cease to offer support for Line 100.

This news gives current users time to look at their options and consider what migration route is most suitable for them. We will be contacting our L100 users shortly to discuss how this affects them directly and what there options are. If you have any immediate questions please give us a call.

Prepare for the VAT Increase
As you are probably aware the standard rate of VAT is currently 17.5% but will be increased to 20% on 4 January 2011.  If you had any issues with this in your accountancy software during the previous changes please get in touch so we can help.

AVG has recently launched their updated internet security software - Internet Security Business Edition 2011. Designed exclusively for small medium sized businesses the new edition has enhanced email scanner, firewall  and web protection.

To encourage businesses to make the switch to AVG software amongst other benefits they are running a promotion giving new customers 50% longer protection so you get 18 months for the price of 12 months.

Talon Tips - Save time and money with virtual meetings
